Christians try to deal with the symptoms of a broken world by trying to enforce their views and their belief system. If you want to bring about change you have to look deeper and love people with the love of Jesus.

What happens when we are struggling? Where do we turn? Maybe you have a special friend who will listen to you and give you advice. Many of us do not have this or are let down by those who we feel should be be close to us.
What if there is a God, who made us and understands. Is it worth investigating. If you examine the person of Jesus you will find it is written that he is God in human flesh. He experienced what we experience and died a cruel death. But it is said that he came alive again to give us hope, that things will be mended. If not in this life, it will be when we die and live with Jesus forever. Consider talking to God, follow Jesus, and find out more by reading about him in the Bible.

Jesus lived 2000 years ago, here is something he said:

‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives to be released, the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors, and the time of the Lord’s favour has come.’

Jesus came with good news, good news for the poor. When we think of Christians who represent Jesus, they really are not good news. They are hard, legalistic, judgmental, and have no love. They might give the impression that if you do not fit a certain mold, you can never know God, and will be eternally punished. I am sorry if you have come across this and been at the receiving end. It is not Jesus’ way, He is not like this! Jesus care for everyone, including those who no one else cares about. He cares about the poor, those in jail, the blind and the opposed. I do believe from study of his life he is talking about both the actual and the emotional. Like there are those who are imprisoned by something in their lives which they want to be freed from. Jesus is also not talking about the religious people say who are poor, etc… He is talking about everybody on this planet. I can assure you that if you are not religious, i.e. a Christian and you are having a hard time like being opposed and downtrodden – Jesus cares!

The Spirit of God in you is mightier than conditions or circumstances. The Spirit of God in you is the source of your strength. The Spirit of God in you is the strength of your mind and heart. The Spirit of God in you is the strength of your feelings and emotions.

Remind yourself often of this spiritual strength. If you feel incapable of accomplishing some task say to yourself, “The Spirit of God in me is strong. The Spirit of God in me is capable.” As you do this you will feel inner strength rise from within you, you will feel new physical stamina and new conviction as regards your abilities and talents.

If you feel emotionally upset, tense, unable to cope with some situation, repeat in the firmness of faith, “The Spirit of God in me is stronger than this appearance. The Spirit of God in me is strong.” After repeating these words several times, relax and let them carry the divine message to every nerve centre and lift you into a new feeling of inner stability, quietness and peace. If you are overwhelmed by the weight of financial responsibilities or personal burdens, affirm, “The Spirit of God in me is strong, mighty to accomplish and succeed.” The Spirit of God in you is the strength that backs your every effort. The Spirit of God in you is the strength that gives you the strength that renews your confidence, promotes your success, and prospers your every endeavour.

Relax and meditate quietly on the words, “The Spirit of God in me is strong.” As you do this you will gain a new stronghold in consciousness that will weather any storm, that will enable you to survive all the onslaughts of fear, doubt, or criticism. To know that the Spirit of God in you is strong will hold you steady, safe, secure, and will bring you into a new awareness of happiness.

The Spirit of God in you is stronger that appearances. The Spirit of God in you is stronger that anything that may tempt or try you. The Spirit of God in you is mightier and greater that any circumstances. The Spirit of God in you is your power, your enduring strength, and your present salvation.

The Spirit of God, in you is your strong tower and your defence in the midst of trial. The Spirit of God in you is your strong shield and protection. The Spirit of God in you is your strong foundation on which you may stand and declare the Truth of your being. The Spirit of God in you is the mighty and invincible self of you.

The wonderful Spirit of God that upholds the planets as they spin through space upholds you, your life, and your world. The Spirit of God, mighty enough to move the tides in rhythmic, eternal order sustains your orderly spiritual progress and development. The Spirit of God moves through you to set aright all conditions and situations in your mind, body, and affairs.

The Spirit of God in you is all the strength you can desire. The Spirit of God in you is all power you can ever need. The Spirit of God in you is all the might you can summon. He is very nigh unto you, even within you, within your mind and heart, within the cells of your body.

Declare now, this day, “The Spirit of God in me is strong.” The Spirit of God in you is strong enough to lift up, to bind, to bless, and to heal. The Spirit of God in you is strong enough to be forgiving, to be patient, to be tolerant, and to be loving.

The Spirit of God in you is stronger than you have imagined, stronger than you have hoped or dreamed. The Spirit of God in you is stronger than any human limitation.
