Judging
I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer wander in the darkness. If anyone hears me and doesn’t obey me, I am not his judge – for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. John 12:46-47
I find it hard to find so many people willing to judge others and feel that God is on their side. But in the above passage Jesus declares that he has not come into the world to judge but to save. He came to show a Kingdom, a way of life. The life that God intended. We either choose it or not. This is our calling to show the light of Jesus to other by our words and actions. Is this an excuse to do nothing but show Jesus. What about all the injustices in the world. I personally think we need to separate the two for we can get ourselves into dangerous ground when we use Jesus to justify our actions. We often cause hurt and resentment. Jesus never wants this and says he came for those we hurt and reject. Another way to see it is we only see a glimpse of what people are like, we do not see how they got to where they are today. Through our love and concern for them this would motivate us to share Jesus. So let God do the judging and seek to follow Jesus to save the lost no matter how good or bad they are.

Credibility
Christians seemed to have lost credibility. They seem to be doing a lot of shouting. We desperately need to look again at the character and words of Jesus. People seem to like Jesus but not Christians. What has gone wrong. Perhaps we try to fit Jesus into our world view, instead of fitting in with his view. My personal mission is to introduce Jesus through his words, works and stories. People seem to be interested. We seem to think we need to fight Jesus’ corner but what is written about Jesus can stand on it’s own. At the end of the day people either accept Jesus or not. People with money seem not to care much as they have a life, hmmm…. Heaven on earth, which seems to give them what they think they need. That is why Jesus went to poor people, broken people, struggling people, for they were searching for answers. We have so many opinions based on our own views and position , we loose sight of what is written in the Bible. We hurt people by being hard and not showing love. We have a crazy idea that God is on our side because we are Christians. There is a verse that says something like ‘You did all these things in the name of God, but I never knew you!’ We must evaluate this as we maybe hindering the work of God, not progressing it. If you tell a man or woman they are wrong, will we win them for Jesus? In more cases that not, ‘no’ They need love and understanding. We need to be their friends.
